Affordable Art Fair, Bristol: The roundup!

Exhibiting for the first time this year at the Affordable Art Fair, Bristol, Floren Gallery were welcomed with an excellent response both from fellow exhibitors and visitors.

We found the Affordable Art Fair to be full of very knowledgeable customers with a huge interest in all of the works on offer. The selection was vast, and all the galleries which were showing art had a very individual flair. Each was distinctive in its own right.

At Floren, we took a selection of work from 6 of our key gallery artists: Peter Kuttner, Rick Garland, Bruce Yardley, Brian Jull, David Atkins and Glyn Macey. All proved popular, with the most sales going to Kuttner and Garland’s works.

Many of the visitors to the fair admired Kuttner’s characteristic canvases – his unique way of painting boats, and his horizon lines – as well as his subtle, cool colour palette – these were big crowd pleasers.

Garland exhibited 3 new works at the Affordable Art Fair, 2 of them in a daring new colour way and a night theme. These pieces were immediate hits, and sold almost as soon as they were hung. Rick’s inimitable aerial scenes also provided the ‘wow’ factor for which he is slowly becoming recognised.

Floren Gallery were hugely pleased with the success of the fair, and hope to see the lovely citizens of Bristol at the same time next year!
