Art Portfolio Romsey will be hosting it’s first event of 2009 from Saturday 28th of February to Saturday 7th March – City Living. To celebrate the release of Henderson Cisz’s new book City Living. Art Portfolio will be launching the year with the power and Splendour of the cityscape.

The gallery will be showcasing high-impact urban scenes from award-winning international artists including Hazel Soan, James Blinkhorn, Nemo and Henderson Cisz. Their arresting interpretations breathe life into the elegant boulevards of Paris and the imposing skyscrapers of New York, and communicate all the drama and glamour of 21st century city living. 

The cityscape as a genre is enjoying ever increasing popularity, and these artists have been key contributors to this surge of interest.  The drama and glamour of the cities they paint gives each image an added appeal and the range of destinations ensures a broad audience. Their work transcends boundaries of age and gender, and scores highly with both serious art collectors and those who are new to the contemporary art scene.
